The Kapalua Resort Association has announced the return of Kapalua Restaurant Week, set to take place from October 27th to November 7th. This food-focused promotion is designed to increase awareness of Kapalua’s diverse dining options, attracting both visitors and residents of Maui. Participating restaurants will offer a range of discounts and special offers, including prix fixe menus, entree discounts, and complimentary appetizers or desserts. This event underscores the resort's commitment to supporting local businesses and offering unique experiences to its guests.

This initiative offers a valuable opportunity for local restaurant owners to attract new customers and boost revenue during the specified period. By participating, restaurants can showcase their culinary expertise and contribute to the lively food scene of Maui. This year's event is anticipated to be a success, building on the foundation established by past events. A prior installment of Kapalua Restaurant Week was geared towards generating funds for the community and driving business from guests and locals according to Maui Now's report from 2016.

The Banyan Tree Kapalua frequently hosts culinary events. In September, they held the Kapalua Wine & Chef Series, featuring collaborations between chefs and vineyards, showcasing the area's fine dining experience; according to Banyan Tree Kapalua promotions. This ongoing culinary showcase points to the broader initiatives to enhance the dining experience in the area.

Historically, restaurant weeks have benefited local charities and nonprofits. During the 2017 event, the Lahaina News noted that a portion of the proceeds went to Maui Food Bank's Aloha Backpack Buddies program. The resumption of Kapalua Restaurant Week highlights the integral role these dining promotions play in assisting the island's economy and providing support to the local community.
